Often known as the red back ginger, grows to a height of 1.5-2 meters tall, has green leaves with a striking red to maroon colour on the underside of each leaf, it  also has fragrant white flowers, which appear out of the tip of the plant during late summer to autumn.

Often known as the pin striped ginger, grows to a height of 1-1.5 meters, has green leaves with white stripes running through them, will produce white and red flowers which develop at the tips of the plant.

Henryi pink is a very cold tolerant ginger with slender upright leaves and beautiful pink flowers which form on top of leaves. Grows to approx. 1.5m in height. Requires filtered light to shade.

Ruby ginger is a perennial ginger with bright red stems and green foliage. It has beautiful pink flowers which form from the bottom of the plant. Grows to 1m in height and may be deciduous in winter.

Dichorisandra thyrsiflora: commonly known as blue ginger, grows to a height of 1.5-2 meters, has glossy dark green leaves , it is grown for its vibrant blue/purple flowers which appear in autumn and are long lasting
